Encaustic on Wood Panel
I am still not sure this is finished. I think it needs a focal point.
What do you think?
Bit of glare on photo, but colors are close.
Thanks in advance for the feedback.

What she said! Strong simple Pointillist composition. The Summer's heat is thick and unbearable.

Appreciate the comments. IRL the horizon line is straight. When I edited it it made it look crooked. Glad is seems to be working. Perhaps it should be done ( or very close to it).

Once again I'm thinking the tropics, hot sun over deep green ocean, so strong it blinds you. The eye is drawn to the sun's reflections on the water, almost as if looking at the sun is painful. The COI is where it should be, restful but interesting.
great piece, I thoroughly enjoyed this
thanx again for sharing this medium with us in a whole new way

I like the simplicity of color but love the texture and interest of the yellows. Nicely done Spottters

The other comments have already said it all for me.

Thanks everyone for the comments and positive feedback. Sometimes I think I complicate thing when simplicity can work so well. Knowing that I get it right once in a while gives me confidence to keep going :)
I like this one as well. I was able as Dave said to get some interesting texture and color working, especially on the top. Also there is some irredescent reds that are hard to see in a picture.
