Hi,

A Rothko can sell for 70 or 80 million.
You can have a similar one for 1 million. Just give me a call and I'll tell how to transfer the money:D

Hi Jon,

Any work that I post here can always be a victim of comments.
Just go ahead and shoot.

Take care,

José

P.S. I meant "It can be..." instead of "I can be..."

Even at such an awesome bargain price, I personally wouldn't spend a million on something I saw on the internet! :p

The colors work well as abstracta commented! Hmm, my monthly allowance is only about $500k, so would you take that? :)

Not to worry! For a small $10,000 fee, I'll show it in person.:D
Then you can pay it in 36 easy installments.

I'll have to wait for Stampedes answer.
But I got an idea: Each of you pays $500K and keeps the painting for 1 year alternately (sp?). I'll even pay for the shipping:D

I enjoy Rothko's paintings, have you studied his work, Jose?

Hi Jon,

No I haven't.
I must say that usually I don't appreciate this kind of work. However, he uses colour in a very pleasant way. I think his work is more about triggering emotions than anything else. At least, this is what I feel.

Nice humor with this one. However color field is rather complicated. You are correct that a lot of it does dwell with feelings. For me, my entire perception and views of art have been effected by this genre.

JoséFor me, art is often more an emotional experience than a cerebral one.

JoséIf you haven't you should. I think you are at least partially right about the emotional impacts his work makes.
