View Full Version : Travel plans, living the dream

Hi all! Just thought I'd do an update. I have 100% finalized my upcoming travel plans. My contract in Turkey ends on July 26th. I am going to Hanover Germany on July 31st for a week long watercolor workshop on cityscapes with Iain Stewart. Amazing watercolorist and super friendly guy. After that, I am going to backpack through Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, and finally into Romania. I hope to pick up some painting skills and do plein air work along the way. It will be approximately 2-3 months on the road. When I get to Romania I will look for a job in one of the university towns. If I can't find one, I have a guaranteed job in Eskisehir in Turkey. So - watercolor workshop with a great painter, and then 3 months practicing the skills in beautiful Eastern Europe. Yippee! Winners never quit :cat:

For a tiny moment I thought about taking part as well, but only for a three-day course. Hanover is only 40 kilometres from my home town so this would have been a great option to take a course with a good artist. But family reasons and all that day-to-day business finally made me deciding against it. HAve a great time and make some photos for us.
