I'm back on the BIG computer and monitor.

It took me 6.5 days to totally unpack and decorate this house. Phew. That beats the old record of 7.5 days, although I do still have a small shipment in storage that will catch up to us in early July, so I guess we'll call this one a tie.

We lucked out with the weather, and it was cool for the whole unpacking and arranging process. Cool meaning it didn't make it past 85', which is lovely for us.

Only met one neighbor, and that was when we went over to let them know they had missing shingles. Other than that, no one has even stopped by. Unfathomable in my world. Oh well.

Studio is great. OH I have photos of everthing else, I'll pop down and add that one to the lot. (Yes, I know 6 painting need hung. I'm out of larger nails.) BTW, those new command picture hangers are USELESS! BRB.

I'm amazed at how easily everything slid into place at this house. Kind of like a goldfish getting a bigger bowl.

I hope to make a secure video tour for youtube soon for those of you that want the full private tour.

And now the studio. It is HUGE. That a beast, I mean Best easel with a 3x5 foot topper on it!

The cupboard to the right of the easel has slide out drawers just big enough for half sheets. The other cupboards are filled with odd supplies, sewing supplies and the sort. Fine china in the cabinets, so ignore that.

I'm standing in a 25 foot by 25 foot area that is just plain empty! I don't know what to do with it. There is a large sliding glass door behind me with a covered southern view of the course. To my left is another 25 foot by 25 foot area with a large bank of windoes that is TV/game room for the Boy, then off of that, another part of the house with bath and two bedrooms!

Caryl,

I'd say closer to fall the college kids will be dropping by and soon you'll be over run with all the students.

I know Justin LOVED his USAF ROTC experience at OU.

Now that you are all settled you will have time to explore the campus and town.

Good to know that you have arrived safely, the studio is one to drool over. Now, where are you know? Omaha?
Enjoy the strawberries!

Now that's a fantastic goldfish bowl!!

You can set up stations for different media, and not have to put anything away! A separate easel for pastels, another for acrylics, etc.
Best of all, you can a couple tables/ easels for watercolours, and have two paintings on the go. When one needs to dry, just get up and stroll to the other easel...

Enjoy!

LOL. Yes, next week is dedicated to exploring the town; museums, farms, zoo, although the astronomy club is this thursday.

I won't enjoy the berries, allergies, but I enjoy getting out. Lightning kept us out of the fields today.

I already promised myself, NO MORE STUFF! LOL.
I took 500 pounds of donation items to the local Cause for a Paws thrift store.

I can't WAIT to get my stuff out of storage and put my king size colour wheel quilt on the wall. YOU ALL WILL LOVE IT!

Well done on getting settled in so quickly, Caryl. That is quite a time record for achieving that after a move. :D

My idea of heaven...An International Licorice Shop.

Handsome young Eagle Scout there with a terrific smile too.

Thanks for sharing your photos, Caryl. Handsome young lad. Fabulous view. Giguntuous studio!

Some people have been experiencing problems with ghost images and if you Click Here (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?p=19656510#post19656510), perhaps someone has the solution for you.

Gorgeous studio, Caryl. I've never had so much empty space to fill; lucky you!

Yes, a VERY handsome Eagle Scout!

Re: not many neighbours stopping by--when we moved here, the occasional person would stop in their vehicle while we were walking our dogs or working outside, and the typical questions were: "Do you have family here?" (Answer: No.) followed by, "Then why the #*@^ would you want to live here?" After that had happened for about the fifth time, we began to wonder why ourselves! (But we're still here!) :D

Enjoy your new home!

Looks like you have landed in a place that makes up for some of the inconveniences of the last two postings....well deserved!

And wonderful studio, my goodness!!!!! It's not like living on a base, though, it may take a while to settle into the social arena.....

Magnificent view, too!
