This is the first one done this morning in 1 hr/45 minutes (sketched yesterday so traced that to save time-10 min. drawing); watercolor on Fabriano140 lb rough paper...loved the little girl so estatic about being in the water  we should all be this carefree and happy!

10.75x16 watercolor/India ink on 300 lb Saunders; worked from only black & white photo copy, using no pencil, just the ink applicator tip. Total time about 1 hr/50 minutes. Note the chicken ready to be cooked

12x9 watercolor of the lovely lady Ruby. Again, worked from b&w copy only. Drawing took about 10 minutes and total painting time 45 minutes on Canson 140 lb paper. Limited palette: Quinacridone burnt orange and gold, ultramarine blue, alizarin, raw sienna.
C&C welcome :cat: Thanks again, Gail, for hosting!

Aww you are so talented. I love them all. You did a great job on Ruby, especially the missing eye. I could not get my head around it and wished I had cropped it out. Those chefs are wonderful and of course the little girl is gorgeous.

Great work on all three of these. Love the action in the little girl, and yes, we should all be so carefree. :) I love the chefs -- and the dog is well done also. I love the alizeran crimson accents --nice work!

Some lovely pieces here Kay, especially the sky and water treatment with the splasher; and I especially love the dog. The chefs looks ideal for a cookbook bestseller cover..can feel the energy in that kitchen.

Kay you never disappoint - love the way you handled the movement in the ocean and the cooks in line and color is a wonderful illustration of a busy restaurant kitchen cooking a plump (noted) LOL chicken and what can I say about Ruby Red Dog - marvelous wc portrait of a happy approachable animal!

That kitchen scene is so wonderful, I couldn't stop looking at it. I'm responsible for spamming you with all those "hits" :)

Love these...

Glad I'm double checking for the gallery, can't believe I missed commenting on this. I always love your work, you are so talented. You definitely captured Char's excitement and Ruby's expression. Glad you decided to do the chefs, you captured their spirit. FYI if ever in NY this is a fun place to go and lots of photo ops.
