This is a still life that has a cut branch of a Viburnum tree in my yard. I placed a wooden, hand painted plate in the background. Thanks for looking and critiquing.

Hi, nice work, like mentioned above, gives the impression of the old master's work. Good reflections on the vases and the plate in the background is softened up to show it is behind the vase but still understandable. Soft background.

I agree with the others..yes it DOES remind me of an old masters work!
I love the shine on the blue vases, the drapery and the plate behind the jug and of course the branch of Viburnum too. Beautiful work!

This is a truly great painting! I love the dark background and how you made the light catch the jug and totally light up the plate behind it. Makes me want to get out my oil paints and start painting. Unfortunately I don't have my oils with me at my summer house, just my watercolors and acrylics. Beautiful work, Grace.
