Hi All,
When I posted the first in this series Gill posted a suggestion to do the same scene at sunset. I thought this was a good idea and decided to also do one during a storm. The storm was easy to catch as it is winter here and there are plenty of stormy days but terrible conditions for observation and notes. Sunsets have been hard to come by but we had a semi good one last Saturday (over very quickly too) so it was down for another look before the light went. These are all 60 by 90cm on MDF. I like the morning scene best by far, the light is beautiful then. Love to hear your opinions!

I think my fav is the stormy one. Though I do love morning light! The sunset one is beautiful, too, LOL, sorry! I can't decide!
Great tree, and scene. (I love trees. :D ) Truly wish I could hang these on my wall. :)

Hi Earthy,
Thanks for the comments, it was interesting to see how the various lighting conditions affected the scene. Glad you can't decide!:D

Very good, I rather like the stormy one, too. Its hard to decide which is better. You've inspired me to post one I did several months ago.
Blessings,
David

Hi Marty C:
Terrific idea and you carried it off very well! I think it's an excellent way of getting to know a scene at the various times of day. Also another good exercise is to paint the same scene at various seasons.
I vote for the first one!
Best,
Kathy:)

Hi Kathy,
I thought I would get bored doing the same scene over and over but the different conditions and lighting changed so much that it seemed a new place each time. I don't recommend doing too much in storms though!
I'm with you on the first one, and so is my wife, and she has veto power!:D

Hi Fletch,
Thanks for the comment. It's funny, to my eye I wasn't sure that I had done a great job on the storm scene, but it seems to have the most fans out there.
