Beautiful! I checked out your website, and you are quite the master of water and reflection.

I saw descriptions are in French (which I don't speak) but paintings transcend language, and I'm in awe! "Au bout du jour" in particular is astounding!

How do you do that? It looks as if I could reach through the water and pick up a stone. Such beautiful work!

If I tried to explain my job, I shall say that everything leaves this philosophical idea: nothing is perfect in the world but these imperfections seen in their group and their relations - and across light - give rise to the beauty, which is a form of perfection.

From the point of view of painting, that means , as the impressionnistes, I don't try drawing perfect forms but "impressions ". For instance, "stones" under water are only simple tasks of colour:the "stone" is "recalled" in one second.

toniov, that's beautiful work you've done! I feel like I could just walk out a few feet into the water, up to the tops of my toes, and move the sand around.

it's awfully noble of me to say this, and quite unrealistic to even think of, but I will try to use your suggestion of treating each object in water as an imperfection bouncing light, that acts in complete harmony with its surrounding imperfections.

great sense of depth and beautiful colours, outstanding...makes me want to try a landscape but they always end up a muddy mess

very observant , very confident with the marks .

your choice/assembly of colours is most astute .

thinking of the paintings you have presented here ,
there is a sense that the subject , the material , and the artist
all work together . :)
