It is so beautiful! Tressa, I love the colors you used in this painting, they are brilliant and lovely!

Thank you both Trailrider and Lunarmoth
This was done entirely from memory of a farm I saw on the side of the road near Arles, France.

Absolutely beautiful Tressa! I love your whole Variation Theme series.

Do you get Casey's posts on FB? I get inspired by them every day so I see why you are. But your own style and color choices are stunning and quite uniquely your own...loving it!

Thanks Kris. I see Casey on PSA site, and his post the other day reminded me of a painting I did a couple of years ago, with the pan pastels. :) I have always been a "what if I do this" kind of painter. :D

Thank everyone....This was a fun one to do, and I had wanted to paint something with the alps (although they were not actually visible from the farm I saw in reality) and I had no photo of the farm, just memory, but I used another photo I had to get the look of the path (which was a photo of a drainage ditch lol)

Oh my! Bluefish!!! What a compliment, and it means more, coming from you!
I know you guard them heavily.

What a gorgeous painting! That path (drainage ditch!) leads us right in and those colors ... so beautiful. Isn't Arles where Van Gogh used to live?

Thanks Donna, and yes, Vincent's "Yellow House" was in Arles, as is the famous cafe.

I love the subject, and the purples and lilacs, and the french light!
