09-12-2003, 02:24 PM
Thanks!:o so obvious now!
09-12-2003, 02:28 PM
You are very welcome ... I myself hardly ever notice the obvious. I am usually too busy with my head in the clouds! lol.
09-13-2003, 11:21 AM
Don't mind the turpentine streak in the lower right section lol. It is not apart of the finished piece .... Hmmmm, wait ... or, is it? :p
09-13-2003, 11:22 AM

A few of the buildings hint @ computer technology. The notched Wells Fargo building looks also a lot like a printed circuit board and the blueish building looks a lot like a CPU tower. That illusion of those buildings is my ode/lament of modern technology being a major result of our modern, urban expansion. Hee ... Hee ...

it looks like a movie projector. I'm sure the movie has been edited.
09-13-2003, 05:06 PM
you should work on your perspective skills the checkerd box imperticular is very wrong in terms of angles and so on.
09-13-2003, 05:18 PM
schultz: I appreciate your in-put. I realize that my paintings are not always exactly proportional, but i have never really been concerned with that. I am more into conveying emotion and ideas. For myself, art is not something to be learned from someone else necessarily ... it is more something to be expressed the way the individual wants to see it.
09-13-2003, 06:06 PM
oh ok well it is very good I like how it looks very modern and I ove the colours. But the perspective would bug me looking at it sorry.:(
09-13-2003, 06:13 PM
Well, the perspective is meant to be a bit, edgy, blurry, and off a bit. Part of what i want to capture with this painting is the anxiety and chaos one sometimes feels within a big city. I somewhat want the viewer to feel a bit unsettled upon looking at the odd angles and such. You certainly don't have to like it if you don't want. :p
09-13-2003, 06:42 PM
i do like it i just think I would like it more by having better perspective.
09-27-2003, 07:44 PM
Well, I think this one is finally done. Although ... being an artist, saying a work is "done" is always hard for me lol. Sorry about the wicked glare going on down in the lower right.
