Both are acrylic on canvas, painted this year. I needed a hit of colour on a couple of walls and was feeling brave...

I'm tempted to try glazing the central panel on the first one, but have no clue what colour would be best. Any thoughts?

Very well done, Jaydub! Do I see horses, elephants & cattle? The colour schemes are most attractive and would look really good on a plain light wall.

Don't know about a glaze on the centre strip of the first one. Have tried to visualise different colours but have come to the conclusion that it looks pretty good as it is.

Yes, wow! I see the animals at the pond during the day and they're gone in the evening. This is a terrific 'experiment' and a very successful one, at that!

Ha, thanks for your comments Mike, and now I can see those animals too...maybe not cattle.

And thanks also Dana. The technique is my loose interpretation of Glenn Farquhar's "meltdown" instructions - so I can't take full credit for the experiment. Will have another try for sure. Can I ask you to move this to the Open Critique forum again please. Thanks in advance.
