Just done this painting today. Very different from what I normally do, bit looser than normal. Honest opinions please!

Hi Twiglet,
I like it! But not being a figurative painter I'll leave the crits up to those who are. I like the color and slightly abstract feel due to the crop. Keep going!

Like this a lot. Since you asked, the profile of the face concerns me. I expanded the facial feature on my iPad and feel that the marks do not represent a profile of a face. Other than that great style. Pam

Your painting represents very well a movement, a situation, with a beautiful style.

Thanks guys. Yes Pam you are quite right about the face. This painting was done because there are times when my concentration wont allow me to paint in my usual mannar, so decided to try something different for when that happens. Firstly I did not wear my glasses and no sketch. This painting for me was a 'freedom' painting and have to say that I loved every minuite! Thanks for your time! :)

I like it too, Lynn. I did notice the lack of a proper profile ... Then I took off MY glasses and it looked fine! (Of course I had to put them back on the type this ....) I should try the bare eyes sometime. I get far too tight and detailed.

I like the light and the looseness of this too,

I like the lively style, lots of impasto style strokes and nice and loose, just the way I like it

Jean - Try it, it's good for the soul
Pam - No need to appologise at all you were spot on about the face. Maybe I should have sorted it out but the whole point was to do a relaxed painting without the hangups.
Dea - Thankyou
Pointy - Thankyou, I enjoyed doing it
