22x30" Watercolor on Saunders Waterford 200lb.

Hi everyone,
I've been working on this painting for over a year now (off and on, of course). I'm at the point where I want to call it finished but I'm looking for some feedback/critique/comments. What do you think? What would you change? How does it make you feel? And if you have a name suggestion, please share...I'm always bad at that :).

The image is a bit too yellow and too contrasty, sorry about that. It's a full sheet and it's hard to get it right with a phone.

Thanks in advance,

Yevgenia

This is a beautiful portrait. It has a very *old world* feel to it with a very updated look... the baby is adorable. And, I really like your textured background. Sign it. Frame it. Love it!

If it were mine, I would be extremely proud of it. You've put your heart into this. Call it a day:) :) :)

I like the background and the girl is beautiful. The feeling for me is discovery, like she found some magical stone or precious jewel. For kids, any little rock can be a discovery.

Thanks everyone! You guys are too kind :) I went with a suggestion from someone in Portraiture forum and darkened the lower right corner a bit. It was bugging me before, too, but I couldn't figure out why. Calling it done now! :)

IT's a lovely portrait, adorable child and her pose isn't easy to paint but you nailed it! Like Char said "mat it, frame it, love it." ;)
