My dear Natasha has 4 months. I worked on Canson paper and I have tried to be nice. Please critiquehttp://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/27-Apr-2013/1112102-551282_454985794575641_881887072_n.gif

Lovely kid and lovely portrait. I really like what You did with background too.

Beautiful job! What an adorable baby, she must have been a joy to paint. I would try to tone down her lips some. They seem a bit strong in value. I know her lips are just gorgeous and it must be hard to resist using reds but putting more skin tones in lighter values will work better I think. Also check rhe center line in her lips, it might need tweaking to get the shape right. Beautiful job!

What a beauty! Both baby & painting. My only suggestions would be to slim her cheeks down a tad & soften the lines of her nose & mouth.

Painting is beautiful. Two things to check and to be honest i am sitting on my couch without a ruler handy to double check but it appears to me that the bottom of the ear should line up with top of lips, just a tad longer than in your painting, and the right side on the painting ( her left side) of bottom lip appears just a bit larger on photo to me. The colors and detail are outstanding. Pam

hello
this has interest ... :)
in the painting , she looks older , more mature ,
and is understandable to compare to the photo :
> her eyes are looking into you ... calm .
> her mouth is gentle , not pouting .
> her cheeks are full , but not like a baby -
the blush/rouge is across the face to the nose .

the painting looks like a gentle person ...

is she such a person now ?
will she grow up to look like the painting ?
who can say ...

there are some things/problems about the features/proportions ...
show this in the Portrait Forum to get good feedback . :)

skin tones are very good !

Ed

ps. keep this painting , or a copy , close to you ...
see what the years bring . :)
