I have started working on a painting using only one color gouache. I cannot define the exact color, but it is not the color officially written down on the paint. It is like a deep aubergine color. But never the less, it seemed like a nice color for the zebra's. The original picture has black and white zebra's and I kind of like this color. Just trying out :)

I am working on canvasboard 24x30cm ( 9,5x12 inch) using Talens fine gouache. I am not pleased with the pink on the right side, that is a mix of white and the overall color.

C&C are welcome

Margareth,

This is going to be wonderful. I'll be watching it develop.

Great start - Zebra's are fun as well as difficult to paint.

This is fantastic, right up my street! Can't wait to see it all finished up. What is your plan for the background?

Still looking good! What an interesting pose. As with painting portraits of people, watch out for too much detail in the teeth if you don't want all the attention to go there.
