This was a bit of a different direction for me. I am trying out a more semi-abstract, ethereal kind of look. I hope it works!

This is approximately 12 x 8, done with mostly Unisons, with some Senneliers on Colorfix paper.

Suggestions for a title would be appreciated...I'm a bit stuck :)

It's not easy going in a different direction but you've done a great job,you must be delighted with the rusult. It is truly beautiful.

Thank you for the kind comments, they give me hope that this is the right move :) I do hope this new direction is a good one because I'm finding it difficult to break away from realism. Lots and lots of practice is in order I think!

Thanks Sonia and al84.
al84, I love the Unison's, they are my favourite pastels so far (not that I have a huge selection yet).

I think you've succeeded. This is striking. For the title, how about "Contemplation" ?

Beautiful painting, I love the color palette and the soft effect you have achieved. For a title how about "Day's End"....

Thanks Pat, I love the title "Contemplation", so much so I've used it for a different painting! thanks again :)

Thank you Chris :) It's funny because I had mulling over "At the end of the Day". I like your suggestion of Day's End" much better.
