The last period was not very successful as far as painting is concerned but I had a lot of fun painting Luna,

Mainly Unison and Sennelier pastels on Wallis Belgian Mist, size 30 x 45 cm

Marina,

This is really incredible. How you achieve that realism is beyond me. The jacket is breathtaking.

I'm in awe

That's really fantastic. I love how you did the fleecy stuff inside of the coat. And she's adorable!

Thanks a lot every one, it was a fun painting.

Mado, there is not that much precision in it, mainly larger areas, except around the eyes, There I use a colour shaper if there is an access of pastel. The rest is mainly suggestion, it looks very precise but when you get close up it isn't. That is part of the fun for me, fooling the eye.

The fleece I had 4 or 5 pastels, and just put marks randomly, some times with more than one pastel at the same time. Then in the end some darks and the fleece effect appears, real fun.

Marina...The facial expression is is amazing, so natural, we've all seen in toddlers...but you captured it with pastel. Your fleece too, is so well done. Fabulous work - Dianna will be proud!
