View Full Version : Johnson Canyon

I painted this picture from a photo I took last summer of Johnson Canyon in
Alberta. I like the scraping with the pallet knife to create the canyon but I will use more bs or bu in my paint than the blues. Not sure if I can glaze this with a brown to tone the blue down or not? Also I played and played with the moss and can't seem to get it right, any suggestions?http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/07-Apr-2013/977897-photo.JPG

Or I leave it alone

Hi, Roxie01. I wouldn't do anything more with this. I love the water. Composition wise, I probably would have moved the rocks up a bit and cropped a little off the bottom. But, it does work this way. Doug, thanks for rotating this. Wasn't sure what I was looking at.
