Brrrrr! Looks pretty cold out there Derek dear! But your usual wonderful style! Love the bare tree branches. Och, ye're a canny lad!

Nice work on the deciduous trees and the color and detail on the pine cones is excellent.

Another beauty Derek! Love the cold feel to this, you nailed it!

Beautiful Derek! Hope you get some sunshine and green in your yard soon!
I like the idea! And love the pine cones most, they are so real I could touch them. Glad the small bird can rest in a warm house, it seems to be cold outside...

Very well done Derek. Hopefully soon you will submit a new one with green grass and budding trees. Bob

That is one smart bird! Really nice painting, as always, Derek! Your window series is one hit after another and each one has its own interesting story.
Donna: The only problem Donna, is the setup can be time consuming.
I also love the idea of looking through a window.
Very well done.

Your window series is very nice, not sure if I like this one as it makes me feel so cold :) , but it is a great painting, very well painted. Love the snow on the pine trees.

It is so well made that I looked for the squirrel who ate a little the pine cone! But I could not find it (sleeping somewhere under the snow doubtless!)
Thanks so much, Derek

Gorgeous! I think the picture within a picture idea is very, very clever. I'm jealous of your beautiful trees...

Wonderful, as always. Love your work.
We share an interest in doing trompe l'eoil windows. I did one years ago for a friend's grandson with a baseball field in background with a boy and his dog on the field and lots of fun items in the air such as an airplane, hot air balloon and placed a baseball on the windowsill. Now I have those three in the garage that I posted that need to get done now that the weather is warmer. Of course my talent is no where near yours so if you want to visit the NJ shore and finish them for me feel free.  Pam
UH OH Pam. I'm stealing your idea:eek:  .
THanks very much and good luck with your paintings my Jersey pal.
