Thanks Pam, am trying to put into practice what I have learned from you guys on this forum. I know it's not purr fect but it's a big improvement

Thanks everyone! Yes I did get the photo from the ref library, althoulgh you'll never find it using my painting. If you put both images together and drew lines on the computer to see the differences it would look like a plate of spaghetti (hope you understand what I mean) :lol:

Jill I didn't use watercolur paper this time I used Sennelier Le Carte card for the first time and have to say I absolutely loved it. Expensive and eats pastels like you've never known but found it helped the finished painting to look a bit special.
Fantastic closeup. Textures are really well done.
