The texture, the colour and looseness appeals to me, quite a size to fill in!
I am fascinated with painting on Gesso Guillaime, are you applying the gesso yourself or can you buy ready made gesso board? How do you find it comparing to paper?

I took this to art class last night more chatting than painting:)
HeySusan,Connie,Maureen,Rachel,Robert,Paul:) thankyou for your comments:thumbsup:
Rachel,i but from a Super Store called the Range here in the UK,i should imagine it is available at most art suppliers as it is Windsor&Newton GALERIA ACRYLIC MEDIUMS,White Gesso Primer,1 or 2.5 litre tubs,i apply myself using a medium sized chisel brush,my brush strokes are every which way up down across diagonal down up across over to create texture, and it is suitable for most surfaces, yes i use watercolour:) any failed or messed up watercolour paintings, you can go over it with gesso and you will see areas of watercolour underneath which may suggest ideas for a new painting:) rather than bin the painting if the paper is good then i re-cycle:) anything else you want to know let me know, there are instructions on the tub in French which i can send you if you want.

Ah Guilli you've done It again - fabulous - I love your approach to the medium for watercolor - thanks for the tip - this painting as I said is really great it gives one a feeling of staring into a window of an "olde curiosity shoppe" and these are the ghostly witches peering out challenging you to enter if you dare - love it! Anyway that's my take and isn't that what a painting should do -draw you in!!!

Love the background as well as the witches. Looks finished to me Guilli.
Your sensible use of failed painting paper appeals to my sometimes frugal self. Like the effects you get from painting on gesso with wc also:)
