Merlin, a fascinating figure of the King Arthur legend. He was a wizard, Arthur's mentor and guardian of the Holy Grail. He seems to appear young and a person that looks like Santa Claus.

I have to read the links myself to get the full story.

Here are some artists and illustrators who have depicted the wizard.

Merlin Cambion

You may copy any of these images or convert them to your own style, or make up a Merlin scene of your own. I don't have a large image link because all I could pull up was Classic Comics and the TV show.

Here are the links that tell the tale:

Sorry. Just couldn't resist. :D

But I like the theme. If I have time, I'll come up with something.

I decided that Merlin and Gandalf are in fact one and the same person, so I made a copy after John Howe's famous cover illustration for "Lord of the Rings."

Brian, a very lively Merlin.

Janet, great tapestry at the background.

June, a very contemplative Merlin.

Finally, I have something to show.

Here are two oil pastel piece on Strathmore 50 lb drawing sketchbook 9x12 inch.

This one is blended mostly with Kimberly Watercolor pencil used dry. That way, it is not overblended and it has added colors.
