She is in dreamland. the back ground should be mist with trees and flowers or perhaps misty boyfriends bedroom? or a poppy field

Could be something simple, perhaps add some color or pattern (like wall paper) to the wall and or put a mirror or something hanging on the adjacent wall to the left of her. However you could go any which way with this one. I look forward to seeing the results, your off to a good start!

It's beautiful! Don't fussy up the bg. In fact, I like it as is!

Nice WIP....as others suggested I would keep it simple, a light pattern of wallpaper as suggested by DP is a nice idea ...her expression is wonderful! ~moe

Emphasize the white wall, not too clean not overly grubby
The viewer can fill that with whatever the work says to them

thanks guys
i tidied the background a bit, left it uncluttered
she's not exactly what i was after, was supposed to be more painterly
(reference below re: sunny choi works/style - reminiscent of a similar style by Dhout if anyone remembers his marvelous works posted here in the past).
alas, i remain a blendaholic and will keep braving painterly, one day i'll get it.
