Good Morning World.
Well you can see my sleep pattern has returned....
Hopefully as caravanning now cancelled I may get a few holes of golf this morning, weather looks cold but no snow.

This was Wednesday's post : 9 PM and just back from a WONDERFUL dinner out, place called the Boulevard Bistro, small place in old Elk Grove, and old house, the food was AMAZING! I ate too much, mushrooms for starters, then salmon followed by Chocolate Decadence :smug: should not have had that but sooooo worth it, may go lie down now ;)
The food really was amazing, quiet very small and the staff was friendly, had a good glass of wine with the salmon. The cafe cat escorted us to the car :cat:
Now I really must lie down, Jack is watching the Sharks vs Ducks TTFN

Hello, all to come
Had a hectic but happy few days with family for the holiday, but it's always good to be home.
Louie seems to have missed me: he has moved his sleeping position slowly up higher on the bed, from sleeping ON my feet - or is that ACROSS my feet? - to curling up under my arm, tucked into my side, or curled in front of me cabbage-style. That was kind of sweet coming from my once-feral rescue cat, but now he has started to sleep sprawling across the pillow, taking up most of the space, with a paw or two resting on my face. He actually was indignant when I shoved him away. Clearly, he knows it's his bed and I am the guest.
Dentist appointment today, dinner with some friends. All else is quiet, as I like my life.
Hugs to all,

Good morning all, sunny but still freezing here. We are told that the bowling season may be postponed because walking on dormant grass would damage it :crying:
Hope you get your golf in Geoff.
Hi Doris, Louie likes his comfort then
Art class this morning, may do a demo of rocks this morning for a Street View picture that Mayberry posted. I'll alter the lighting a little.
03-28-2013, 03:35 AM
Hi Geoff, Doug and Judy.
Doris, clearly your cat is a man cat. Watch out for the snoring next. Got to love 'em. My girl cat only walks all over my face in the middle of the night when she is hungry which she is not , But can. Read 4 am and despair. Quite nice but does disturb the dreams at 5 am when I spring awake in fright. Specialy on worky days. I never do get the hose out of the international flight and pull it back from Mt Glorious. But the cats are always around and problematic in my dreams.
All Alas in darkness now in the early hours. So I get to trip down the stairs, quite literally, after BO. He has a habit of stopping midway.
Point of the toe is recognised by LOOK  "You would do that to me...?" I do it my cat or I am going to fall on you. CHOICE??? He scooted.
Doris, your Louie is a star.
Hi everyone, Geoff, Doug, Judy, Doris, Annie....just in from our Holy Thursday Mass.
Another warm sunny day, 27C. More of the same tomorrow
Annie, I know about 'looks'....This is "You're late, where's our dinner" look we got when we got home tonight lol
03-28-2013, 05:01 AM
No didn't go to golf as feel as if I have been kicked all over.
Am returning to bed!
That's too bad Geoff. Hope you feel better soon! ((( )))
I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a blessed and happy Easter, I will be back Tuesday.

Hi Everyone:wave:
Been wanting to do a catch up post for several days.
We had a good Snow on Sunday with about 7 inches where I live. It was really pretty but by yesterday it had almost all melted away. Now time for the rubber boots.
I am having a quiet week this week which I needed. I had been doing a lot of running around and really needed a down week.
Yesterday I went shopping for some new dress pants (in case I get a job) I really had no office type clothes since I was in scrubs all the time as an LPN.
I did a good deed while on this errand. I was waiting for a parking space and a man got in his truck and left. As I pulled into the space I thought that I saw a wallet on the ground. Sure enough he had dropped it and it had his drivers license, credit cards, cash. I took it into the store and gave it to the store manager and on my way out saw him and was told they were able to contact the man and he returned for the wallet. Paying it forward.
I recently did an artist trading card swap - just did one card and got one back. It was fun.
I should get 25 "zines" in the mail this week from the online UStream group of Coffee and Art in the Morning. I'm excited to see what others did.
Haven't been for coffee this week so going in this morning to visit for a while.
Don't think we will have any big plans for Easter other than go visit with dad in the nursing home in the afternoon.
glad to see everyone is doing well

Full moon, and I am restless..
Doris, Louie knows what side his bread is buttered on.
Beautiful photo Lulu. Have fun..
 Judy and Doug
Anita, did you take photos of your snow?
03-28-2013, 08:23 AM
Well I painted the rocks as a mountain with trees in front. Some also painted them as mountains others as rocks with water or snow in front. It worked out well.
Sorry you didn't make golf Geoff, hope you are feeling better now.
Happy Easter Lulu. Going away?
One good turn deserves another Anita.

Good Morning Everyone!!
We had unexpected (unexpected for me anyway) snow, not too much though. We are 1degree above freezing and it is DULL:rolleyes:
We took our table tennis buddy for her birthday lunch yesterday, chinese bufet. Was good!!
Today scrabble at scrabble buddy's house, so delicious baking will be served again:thumbsup:
Last year, late summer, I reseeded a whole area of grass that bugs had decimated. It came up nicely. Now that the snow is melting in my backyard I see that a mole has dug highways in that very area:rolleyes:
and that is all the excitement in my household.
Doris, that kitty really loves you!!
Lulu, beautiful photo!!
Geoff, I hope you feel better quickly!!
Doug, that is a nice picture!!
Char, that bread looks YUMMY!!!
Kay, GORGEOUS Pendant!!!
Anita, Annie, JJ, Judy  to you!!!
03-28-2013, 08:43 AM
THere is something strange here in the sky! It's huge....shiny.....blinding and warm! Oh...my gosh....I think it's that thing they call the SUN!  :D
Today is supposed to be milder, sunny and more of the same tomorrow and by Saturday highs in the upper 40'sF to 50F. We'll take it.
What an adorable face you've captured there LuLu...it's begging to be painted.
Geoff, sorry you weren't able to go golfing.
Doug, show us your rocks and trees.
Doris, aww Louie missed you; how cute is that? And what a long way he's come since you first brought him home. I remember when he wouldn't come out of hiding.
Hi there JJ! I hope you're day is going well for you.
Anita, that guy must have been SO relieved when they called him about his wallet.
OH Judy your dinner sounds delicious....especially the chocolate!
Oh Ushci; the moles! We have them here and I absolutely HATE THEM! The damage they do with their underground tunnels...our grass gets spongy.:o
I hope you all have a great day!
Happy THURSDAY!!
03-28-2013, 09:09 AM
Good morning! There's no sun here, Darla... please share... It's grey, dull and kind of raw. It's 2C, so should feel warmer than it does... even the herd didn't want to stay out too long.
I have a meeting with my Service Club this evening. It's a pot luck supper meeting and I have no idea what to bring...
One of my Students grows microgreens and sprouts in her home for a variety of fresh greens all year. She invited me to come over to her home and view her set up...
I need to write up my Easter dinner meal plan, also. We have some divergent diet needs, so it'll be a bit of a challenge to make yummy stuff that everyone will enjoy.
Sorry that not only can you not go caravaning, but your golf game is nixed as well, Geoff! I hope you aren't coming down with something nasty.
Judy, for years we never ate anything but freshwater salmon. Discovering Atlantic salmon was a wonderful treat and we enjoy it at least once a week.
Doris, isn't it such a wonderful journey from the poor kitty hiding UNDER the bed to the one who now OWNS the bed?!!! :)
It's too bad that your Bowls will be delayed, Doug... I'm not sure about that reference... What about all those ants?
Thanks so much for the Easter wishes, Lulu, along with the gorgeous *look*... I hope your Holiday is equally blessed.
Anita, you've mentioned the zines a couple of times but I don't know what they are... are they the 2.5x3.5" art cards? Good on you for taking care of that man's wallet.
Uschi, I keep telling you that you need a kitty... :) Moles can do a LOT of damage with their little tunnels.
As I mentioned, Darla, you seem to be hoarding the sunshine... you could share, you know... :)
So... I'd better begin writing up meal plans and grocery lists... stuff needs to be done today because tomorrow is Good Friday and all stores will be closed. Have yourselves the best possible day!
03-28-2013, 09:11 AM
 Good day! grey and cold, no snow, thank goodness! Gallery again today, but I am not quite so late as yesterday. Today it is 5 hr, but I get relief for lunch. I certainly could not work again, this is as much as I can do these days! Didn't get my prints matted yet, so need to scramble and get a couple done in the next 20 min.....BBL.
03-28-2013, 09:18 AM
Had a long soak in bath which improved my state of health and mind!
Lovely breezy Spring day, would have been a nice day to drive to Scotland!!
Off to Thirsk for some shopping soon..........Most shops open Good Friday but all large ones close on Easter Day ( along with Christmas Day.....
03-28-2013, 10:01 AM
Good Day All,
Geoff, glad you're feeling better.
Lulu, Happy Easter to you, too. Enjoy your time away.
Anita :thumbs up:
A beautiful sunny day today. Going to high 40's F.
We will be off shopping soon. Janet finally picked out a laptop for her Christmas present.
Lyn, if you're reading, I finally took your advice and bought a Kindle reader. My Kindle Paperwhite will arrive by next Tuesday.

I didn't get half of what I wanted to do yesterday done. I realized I needed the glass to frame the painting so I didn't do that. I did work on our taxes yesterday and this morning and things are almost organized to the point of being ready to plug in the numbers in the computer program. Yesterday evening we had to have our plumbing/heating guy over for an emergency visit. The furnace wouldn't shut off and the temp in the house was over 25 C. This happens every few years when a zone valve doesn't work (gas hot water heating) but the trick is to catch it early so you don't use twice the normal gas for the month. He did a temporary fix and ordered the part and we'll get it replaced Tuesday.
Tonight and tomorrow I am nightshift so not much time left for doing "stuff" this morning. One quick errand to run and I am going to relax the rest of the day.
I'm off for a bite of breakfast. I started working on taxes while still in my nightgown. Then the errand and see what happens next. My book is calling. Have a great start to the long weekend everyone.
03-28-2013, 11:04 AM
OK I managed to plane the tool shed door and refit the lock, it now closes
Bill, I think you will like your Paperwhite, I have read tons of books since I got it, mainly 99p thrillers :D It did start acting funny the other day but I reset it and it seems OK now. There was a software upgrade I believe. Remember you can read and sync your books to your laptop and even Janet's laptop. I also read them on my iPad when necessary.
Glad you are getting things together Ellen, I hate tax returns but haven't done one for years since I retired.

Hi to All
Tis a reasonable day weather wise here in the little country sticking out into the North Atlantic on the edge of the continental shelf
News for UK portrait painters, my favourite TV channel Sky Arts HD are holding a portrait painting competition, if you are interested, here is the link http://skyarts.sky.com/portrait
An Exhibition of one of my favourite Scottish Colourist Artists paintings, SJ Peploe is on now at the Scottish Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh http://www.nationalgalleries.org/whatson/exhibitions/the-scottish-colourist-series-sj-peploe

Doug, I can't wait. Another advantage of the Kindle is I can borrow books from the local library that are in ebook form. The local library is linked to all the libraries in the state, so that will make it easy to get at a lot of books.
Henry, congrats on the invitation. It's a great honor, and one you deserve.
03-28-2013, 12:22 PM
You can download a Kindle program for your laptop and start reading right away Bill.
03-28-2013, 12:28 PM
Ok morning here, and both Jack and I have weighed and did not gain tons of weight as was expected (FYI Jack and I have developed the habit of weighing in daily, I do find I do that to see what effect what I have eaten has on weight and how long. DD and I think it takes 2 days to show.
Probably a side effect of losing those 40 pounds (10 K?)
Jack was a good guy the other day, he was on his run, he takes a plastic bag with him to pick up rubbish, and found an envelope with an address on it and in the envelope was a phone! so went over to the house, not far from where we live, and return it. It turns out that she had been robbed! and was so greatful to have it back! They were going to go over to the park and look around.
Mustache need to get ready for the day
03-28-2013, 01:14 PM
Out tonight celebrating a friend's Golden Wedding and just had a call inviting us to see "The Mousetrap" at Liverpool Empire theatre next Wednesday. It's all go! :)
Lucky find Judy.

He will give you all the love he has not been able to give ,for the good life you are giving him Now . He is So Beautiful too
Maazel tof ,
June:) :) :) :)
03-28-2013, 02:13 PM
Doug, Jack and I saw The Mousetrap before we left, a REAL play and we just loved it! It was the one play I wanted to see while we were living there, only took 10 years
03-28-2013, 06:01 PM
Good for Jack, Judy, he must have sharp eyes.
I liked your rocks, Doug, a bit challenging! The play will be fun, have never seen it.
I'm sure that mole was thanking you for preparing the soil for him  What a nuisance, we had that happen once too, and then he/it moved on. And then there's the skunks who like to dig for the grubs that eat the roots of the grass. I'll swear lawns are more trouble than they are worth!
I read my books on the Kindle software on my laptop and desktop, but it is nicer to have something you can read lying down, or hold easily on your lap, or better still, listen to!
Glad you are feeling better, Geoff!
Good for you, Anita, that will be a happy man!
Am munching dinner, going dancing tonight, despite being a bit tired from my day at 'work'. The assistant brought me a single rose as thanks for the extra days I have been doing, such a lovely surprise! It has a beautiful perfume, too.
Have a lovely Easter everyone! :grouphug:  :grouphug:
03-28-2013, 06:13 PM
The Mousetrap is the longest running play anywhere I think, so worth seeing, and not a musical which was different after all our time in the UK, always went to London for a play etc.
