View Full Version : The glow at night and in a hurry - did Lincoln paint this way???

This is an 8" x 10" in oil of course!! :D

I did this in an hour because it is the only slot of time I could get. I used a limited palette, one brush no. 4 flat, and a few touches with the painting knife.

I used the candle light as my main light source, almost in the dark, I had one incandescent bulb behind me about 15 feet away.

I find that a lot of my inspiration comes right here from good old WC, I read about a new color that someone just can't live without and away I go.

I really enjoyed looking at this painting. It just seems very soothing to me.:)

I think the choice of colors are great and the brush strokes compliment it very much.
