Here's my latest pastel -- San Miguel Mission in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is the oldest church in the United States. It is 12" x 16", done on sanded paper with a variety of hard and soft pastels. C&C welcomed.

Very nice! I like the way you have done the ground! Nice light and shadow - especially on those triangular areas of stone-work.

I really like the brickwork on the building, but one thing I can't take my eye off of is the bell in the tower. I love it! It gives the whole painting depth. Nice touch.

Very nice work. I guess the shadow on the wall is from a tree benind us. It could easily be left out. I agree with Doug about the bell tower.

Seems like the mission would be more textured & blotchy in some places, since it is so old. unless they recently rehabbed it.
