I will be posting 16 images and a challenge

Please wait until all are uploaded before commenting - thank you.

You have 30 minutes to make your choice and choose your materials - you may use any medium.

For the next two hours, just go for it……then STOP!, scan or photograph your work and post it in your own new thread with your title, beginning with WDE, plus date, plus title.

When you introduce your work, please add a description of size, medium, support (paper, canvas etc) and time taken.
If your work is digital, we'd appreciate a description of whether it's freehand drawing/painting, manipulated image or done using the filters available in some programmes - you could also say which programme you've used.
All are acceptable but we'd like to know the "hows, whys and wherefores"!!

Use WIP for any work in progress at the 2 hour mark, and MI for multiple images if other works are to be added before the following Monday.

NB. To avoid forum flooding, please put all of your work during the weekend, for the current WDE, into a single thread: multiple threads will be merged!
From the following TUESDAY, you may open a new thread for later work.

You have the whole week to participate - until the next WDE starts (usually Friday). If you finish a piece after that time, we now run a 'Catch-up' thread in the forum each month where you can post any WDE not completed in its allotted week .... it's a sticky near the top of the forum page.

After posting your contribution, please view others’ entries and comment and encourage when you can. Unless requested, please refrain from critiquing.

Of course I am posting early (always do) but I have to be at work at 0600 tomorrow. As usual I had to hunt for the non animals, but hopefully there is something for everyone.

Love the selection, Jean! It must be fun to live with so many cool animals.... I know they aren't all yours, but you do have an amazing fur family. :)

Thanks for hosting!

At last....
I've had a right palaver trying to get on here. Seems it might not have been WC - or maybe it was. I couldn't get in using IE but could using Firefox but I couldn't see any images.

It's a shame because when I saw you were posting by 2pm my time I thought cool... I can get on... instead I gave up and started work on that wretched oil painting I'm still fighting since my last WDE.

I LOVE so many of these images but won't have time to do them all. I am so pleased about the leopard as I have been trying to get a good shot of one for a portrait and was unsuccessful at my local zoo because they just hid in their house or on top of a wall!

Will definitely do something, AND will save others, if it is ok with you, into my file of references 'to do'.

Still have oil painting stuff all over the place...so not sure what I'll do this weekend and in what medium.

Thanks for these AWESOME REFS!

Hi I came accross this WDE and really like the way it is organized and thought it was a great challenge.
I have just read the requirements again and realised that I wasn't suppose to comment on anything until I have posted, really sorry about that I got a bit carried away.
I will post something but I'm not sure about the time limit on posting, obviously need to read it again.

Hi River frog, of course you could comment any time on any threads, the regulations is only while the host is uploading 16 or less images on that week's WDE.
And welcome to The AMAE forum.
