I had finished this painting of a Dehavilland Beaver earlier this year before I knew of this aviation forum. I wanted to try to stick with cooler shades of colours to create a feeling of cold. It is early in the new season with the snow just melting yet the feeling of the passing winter is still evident. I spent a few years working on Beavers along the coast of British Columbia.

'First Trip of The Season' Acrylic on canvas, 20"x32". All C&C welcome.

Thats a classy painting - the Beaver looks good - I like the detail inside the cowl.

Beautiful work Neil. I love float planes. The history of bush flying in Canada is fascinating and full of remarkable machines and even more remarkable people.
