Thanks for hosting Oty, I enjoyed doing Li's river shacks last week so decided to do some more buildings today. I was going to go really big but decided to do a study first. This is acrylic on canvas board 14 x 11 inches. It took the full 2 hours and didn't finish the figures and I hate the red in the shadows on the main building but I quite like most of it and will probably do a bigger version.
Thanks for looking

If this was mine, I would have been more than happy!!! I like it very much! For me the reds work well together, and I do like the "unfinished" figures. If you go for a bigger version, I would say you do not add much more details on the figures. Looking forward to see the bigger painting! Thank you so much for joining and taking the challenge too!

Lively and bustling with a strong sense of the sunlight. Even with the red bias I think I'd have identified a Christine in this one!

Looks great just as it is, Christine. You did well.

Off to shovel 2'-4' snow at end of driveway another 15 minutes. My winter exercise:)

I love this Christine - especially all the moving figures just hustlin' and bustling about and the addition of red adds nicely to the activity.

Loads of energy in this painting, Christine. The figures work well and, yes it would work larger. :)
