Sad news, but a good lesson......I attempted to brush on some acrylic matte medium over top of the gouache painting, and that was the end of the frog! Now I will know for next time, acrylic medium and gouache don't mix? Does anyone out there know why this happened? The matte medium I used was a cheaper brand, as was the pre-gesso tiny canvas, but the gouache was high quality.

Might be because it was on water based paint and you brushed it on. You might have got away with a spray acrylic. Next time you might try a test piece first. Poor Froggy he was a cutie :(
