Thanks Li for the beautiful photos this is a gouache size A4 less than two hours

He looks all shiny and new and beautiful. Li usually includes a turtle in her refs and I was a little disappointed that there wasn't one this time. Silly me and clever you for finding him. He is gorgeous.

You're the only one to find the sea turtle! You cleaned him up nicely Robert, he's too cute. He really looks solid like a sculpture. Like his little smile. Awww.

Love this turtle. As soon as I saw it planned to paint it for my grand daughter's 3rd Birthday early July. Nice graphic pretty colors. Robert you did a fine job with your gouache on this turtle. Couldn't imagine it in any other medium, now:) Happy painting.

A very happy painting, Robert! Wonderful turtle!

Oh Robert, he's a beauty! Lovely!! I thought about picking him too and decided i had to work on my own work and not participate this time round.:( I have been wanting to try gouache and have no idea what brand to buy-good stuff is pricey, but I hear its worth it. What brand do you use and did you like the paint? It feels very fresh and I like how this medium covers because of it's opaque quality. Also, because i am new in this forum, what size is A4? Very fresh and cheerful piece. I like how the paint describes the surface of the turtle. Well done!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments
Hi Paintboss I'm using Linel gouache by Lefranc Bourgeois and some W&N too ,for the white i use Lascaux it comes in a jar and is very opaque and last for ever.I do not know all the brands but the artist quality has more and better pigments than the student quality that is a common point with all the brands
You can find infos on gouache in watercolor forum / watercolor studio / gouache corner

What a lovely bashful expression on his face :)
Also, because i am new in this forum, what size is A4?
Here is a wikipedia page describing different paper sizes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_sizes#A_series) around the world. An A4 is very similar to the "letter" size used in North America.
The most frequently used paper size is A4 measuring 210 by 297 millimetres (8.3 in × 11.7 in).
very cute!!! lovely shiny look!!!
