Today I worked on the pear, using acrylic paint on ~4.5"x6" acrylic paper. I chose to do just the single pear to focus a little more on some of the technique and detail instead of having a multitude of things to focus on. This took me about an hour or so. Thanks for viewing :D

Great idea to focus on the basics and keep it simple. Sometimes too much at once can feel overwhelming. A very edible pear and a fine painting. These kind of studies are the best way to learn and grow.

Welcome to the WDE you did a good job on the pear the colors are dead on
One tiny tip if you feel like it you can indicate the volume of the pear by a graded shadow at the base

You're doing really well Sam - I like the style you already have - and good colour choices too.

Agreed. And if you figure out how to blend with acrylics could you please let me know? :)

Thanks everyone for your feedback, and I always appreciate any tips. I used to feign illness during art in school, so my art education extended only to crayons and what I see Thaesha do.

A bold and positive approach. The colours fairly glow.
