View Full Version : Weekly Inspiration Pictures Feb 17 to Feb 23

Since there hasn't been a lot of activity, beyond commenting about the great pictures, do we want to slow down the thread to an every other week thread, or even a once a month thread to give people time to sketch? Please add your comments below.

In the meantime, it's a new week and no one has signed up for this week or any following week. Therefore, you are stuck with what I come up with. And this week, it's all macro shots from the image library.

Conch shell macro by lisilk. Thank you.

Detail wire on bridge by steveb. Thank you.

Dew by Ex Fisherman. Thank you.

Guitar by villagirl. Thank you.

Sunflower macro by macdragon. Thank you.

Have fun. :D

I think once a month would be better...the Coloured Pencil, Watercolour, and Pen Ink forums do a monthy...

Mostly its because the pictures posted are too good! They make you want to sit down and do a good drawing of them. Speaking for myself, I get bogged down trying to capture all the details; haven't learned the art of quick sketches...drawing from life encourages quickness, I think. Photos you want to take time with.

Just my .02!

Thanks for your input, D. I think I agree. And, I'd be willing to bet it'd be easier to get people to sign up if it wasn't so often. Anybody else want to weigh in on the issue?

I have been busy and unwell lately so been finding it hard to participate. Happy to go monthly as well.

Monthly is a very good idea, as I found no sketches submitted by the photos I put up either. Perhaps people do need more time especially if you are involved in other challenges or projects as well. The photos here now and previouslyy are so good and there is no limit to the time allowed to sketch and post them them is there?

Thank you for weighing in Jacqui and Eileen. I'll change this to a monthly offering of photos.

Jacqui, sorry to hear you've been ill. Rest and get better.

Yes, Eileen, there is no end date so you can go back and post in previous threads.

Hooray as I do have some done and not posted as the end came. And I will volunteer for another month.

Hello. . . I've been busy with several projects around the house this month. I think maybe starting in March we switch to monthly!! Great idea Debby.

Eileen, do you want to do March? If so, we'll just let this week ride until then.

Thanks for your input Rainy.

Can I delay as we are away the last week in Feb and into March. Shall I put my name on April? and....shall I resubmit the photos from before which no one has picked up on, maybe it was a hint...er, perhaps new ones. Cheers.

I haven't had the time lately to do the weekly pictures. Monthly would be better. But even that will become difficult as soon as the weather improves (hopefully soon) as most of my sketching time will be taken with on-location drawing.

Well, I could not resist this one and in two ink colours did the 'wire on bridge' by steveb.

Eileen, no problem, I'll post something for March. You can have April. That's an awesome pen and ink of the wire on the bridge.

Philip, thanks for your input.
