Did you ever "almost finish" a painting and then...oops.
There is a saying "Measure twice, cut once"
It is Not normal to have 5 golfers in a group.....but then again, I complied with the "uneven number" rule.....;-)

Why not of them a golf bag, surely one of them has a caddy.
Finish it either way, the trees are beautiful.

The carts are parked to the left....;-)

Coulda' fooled me, Brian (since I don't play golf and neither does my DH). ;)

The sixth player has gone off for tea?
Nice to see you....

Brian, didn't a threesome occur to you?? OR... even better, you could have broken the rules and painted in a foursome! :p I do like the trees... I'm not exactly sure what I'm seeing in the foreground... I don't golf.

I don't golf either so you could have fooled me too. I say go for your artist's license to paint whatever you want. ;)

And all the other ladies....but not the guys...;-)
Tea? Well, maybe a beer.
There are two players under the umbrellas to the right.
I could have painted them out, but it would show...
The long brown strip is a wall holding back the green. The other brown was starting out to be a reflection of that wall....I quit at that point.
Hopefully I get it right the next time.

It looks to me like one of your male golfers recently got married and his young, impressionable wife wanted to come along to learn more about this game her husband seems to be so interested in.

Great painting! like the trees...
looks like it is twilight... so anything goes...

I did used to play golf, and I caddied.

This could easily be an Asian golf course... have seen as many as nine playing together.....
When gambling is involved (# puts, etc.) no one is left unattended lolol
Courses normally allow up to 6 on 'slow' days as a matter of norm. Makes for some interesting tee box conversation, hilarity.

I think it's actually a Threesome on the left and a Twosome on the right, and the Twosome is waiting to putt and play through. It's a nice composition Brian and the BG is terrific. I say "FORE!" and finish it up.
My golf motto: "Swing hard in case you hit it."
We're all golfers, some are just better than others.

Thanks all for your interesting comments. Hopefully the "real" painting will get finished this week.
Have you heard the one about the new bride who decided that it was time for Hubby to toss his clubs away.
"You sound just like my ex wife" he said.
"What? You never told me you were married before" she said
"I wasn't" he replied.....;-)
As a golfer, know trees only too well....and sand.....and water.
What haven't you done?.....;-)
I wouldn't want to be the scorer on bingo bango bongo.
Good reasoning, Mike....and I'll finish it soon.

What haven't you done?.....;-) Weeeeeeell, :-) seriously, I love to try something once. I played golf for 2 years, and I caddied for about 12 months. I enjoyed both. The guy I caddied for had a terrible golf temper ;-) He went through a lot of clubs, and friends.
