Kangaroo Point is one of Brisbane's oldest suburbs.
It was originally inhabited by the Turrbal Aboriginal People, until it was "discovered" by John Oxley in 1823. The first white inhabitants were convicts. During the convict era, stone was quarried, for the building of magnificent and now historic buildings in the city, across the river.
Expo '88 brought South Bank (http://www.visitsouthbank.com.au/the-parklands) alive, a fun place to be, and the Kangaroo Ppint Cliff became a venue for play. Riverlife (http://www.riverlife.com.au/) was born. A whole heap of Activities (http://www.riverlife.com.au/activities/)were founded, and for the adventurous, it is a real fun place to be.

Today, I went bike riding (http://www.riverlife.com.au/cycling/), trying out a mountain bike for good measure. I had a ball.

I took photos on the walk to and from the bike pick up point.

From the top of the cliffs.

The one below has solar panels for some of the lights, that are shining on the cliff face at night. It is a spectacular sight.

Thanks JJ - I think I prefer the stern view of the "Forceful" to the bow view.
Another plein air trip is on the cards.
Cheers

Thank you folks.

John, yes, I thought of that too. I have had a busy time of it lately, but another plein aire outing is due. :)

Darla, the weather was beautiful, not too hot.

Henry, help yourself. :)

Katherine, I am glad you enjoyed them my friend.
