Was trying to do something allegorical with this one light, dark, water, dove, trees and something hanging on a tree.
Oil on canvas 30x20. All comments appreciated. Thanks for looking Arnie

Hi Arnie

The light and shade in this is beautiful. The water and the movement you've conveyed in it is stunning.

The work you've done on the foreground trees and river banks has been nicely resolved.

And I really like the way the dove adds a sense of 'life' and 'journey' to the work and the thing hanging from the tree lends a little mystery.

very pleasing. The lush borders of the stream are almost as cool and inviting as the water itself. "Cept, of course, for the creepy crawlies that would gobble me up!
I like it, Arnie!

Very well done! A piece of paradise. I can feel and hear the water flow. To me, the dove doesn't add anything, it's all about the water and the surrounding of it. A little bit right from the middle there's a small rock (I presume) in a needleshape that I would remove cause it's distracting.
A truly great work, Arnie!

Thanks Round, Ella, Darrell and Coen.
The Dove and Twig add a sense of life and journey (thanks Round) and yes all the ground in the woods is covered with moss everywhere - and there are lots of creepy crawlies:) Arnie
