OK, I am trying the newer, backdoor method of posting a picture for critqueing. I've been unable for several months to use the front door method by clicking the new thread button in upper left. NO WORKY!

back door method mentioned is to click the FORUM TOOLS, POST NEW THREAD.

We will see! If you see my picture? then Whoop! it worked.

the piece is a rare plein air peice of a local farm. It is 9" x 12" and I'm thinking of touching it up.

what do you think. leave it? or http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/20-Jan-2013/159648-stormpassedbedford500.jpg

Leave it - it captures those moments beautifully.
You could use this for a studio work.

Extraordinary. Put your brush down and WALK AWAY FROM THE PAINTING!
Really - the color and immediacy of this piece is fantastic.

I would like to see the bottom horizon line blended just a bit but the pops of orange knocked my socks off, really lovely work!

Awesome skyline! Simple, countryside. Wish more people could experience this lifestyle!

Nice mood, I feel too much detail on the house, it should just be two or three stokes and no windows or at least only soft blurry ones. The house is too warm also a white surface pointing away from the sun would read bluer.

Well, I tried, but the studio kept pulling this painting back, so now, I think I'm done. I just thought the orange were, well, too orange.

 Sorry to dissappoint so many! I need to learn how to use my super fancy, only have to push the button, camera. The original was taken in the studio under flourescent and incandescent lighting. The 2nd was taken outside. Not sure where the purple clouds came from. The only thing I did inbetween was tone down the edges of the orange sun coming through the clouds, and added a few more dots for highlights in the fields for flowers.
Bummer. Maybe I'll just make prints of the first photo and put them on ZAZZLE, cause the original just don't look like that. Then again, a red wash might cause the painting to evolve into the first photo.

Just not sure.
