Here we go for another week. I have tried to find some different images that may also be challenges for some us (ie: me). Most of the images were collected from stock.xchng site, free use.

These 2 are shots taken by me. Had to include one of my babies, Jasper fell asleep on my desk using the windowsill as a pillow.... too cute. Some lillies I used for a painting.

I hope there is something that interests you.

Thanks, Jacqui.
These look good. I'm sure I can find something to try.
I may have to apologize to Jasper in advance. :)

I had a go at a couple of these. The hand is done in pen and wash, not overly happy with the result, might try it again. Watercolour for the boots.

I like your boots, Jacqui. The fingers seem to be just a bit too slender for an infant.

Okay, here's my attempt. Please don't show this to Jasper. It's my first attempt to draw a cat.
I got his nose out of shape, but by the time I noticed it was too late to fix.
I tried to make the fur look like fur and started out okay.
After I got to this point everything I tried just made it worse, so I decided it was time to stop.
A challenge indeed! Pencil.

I agree about the fingers Philip, not baby chubby enough by far. Glad you liked the boots.

Great job for a first attempt at a cat. It was a hard angle too. You got the smooched up face really well. I like it. :)

Jacqui, give that baby hand another go. The boots are fabulous.

Philip, good sketch for never having done a cat before. That far ear is perfect.

Jacqui, those are great. The boots are wonderful. . . the hand is maybe not quite chubby enough but its well formed and the shading on the pen and wash is nicely done!

Phillip, nice work on the first kitty!

Thanks Debby and Rainy. Debby I took your advice and tried the hand again, pencil this time. Still not quite sure about it, I think the thumb is the problem (now that I see it here on screen) not wide enough. Might have to do a take 3. And gave the eggs a go too.

Jacqui, good for you trying the hand again. It's much closer this time. Good job. The eggs are cool, nice highlights.

Wow, Jacqui, what an improvement on the hand!
I'm trying to improve my "fast sketching" skills, so I tried to do this one in just a few minutes.
I must have a problem with noses. It's too scrunched in again. Oh well.

Philip good take on the gorilla.

`Good job on the gorilla Philip, nose doesn't look too scrunched.

These threads are open ended Eileen, so you aren't late. Great job on the baby hand. The flower looks awesome.
