Just started out on this 24" x 18" acrylic of a 43 Sqn Hunter . Lots to do as yet -. Backdrop , fuselage and wing tip markings etc.Still very ragged and wobbly in places.
Just a bit of fun for me because it's my all time favourite aircraft.

Great attitude Neil. Funnily enuff I've never liked the hunter as a plane. It's almost too pretty without ever doing much to justify it. I look forward to following this one.

Thanks Faminz - yep , beauty lies in the eye of the beholder .
I think the Hunter T7 two seater is even more photogenic than this version but you're talking to someone who thinks an E.E.Lightning looks good !

I love the lightning! Form follows function! And boy could that thing function.

Oops - just noticed - the Sabrina is too large for a GA 9 - now corrected on canvas .
Reference photo was a shot Itook of an Ex Swiss Hunter at RAF Leuchars airshow .

Looking forward to where you take this one, Neil.

Some work - shortened the Sabrina . Hopefully sorted the far wing roundel . Experimented with the backdrop. Still lots to do - a touch of green cammo on the stbd tail plane needed I see.

Roundels can be a pain to get right. Do you use 3D for getting those correct?

Hi Gray - on this one I have roundels in the reference photo to refer to but it is one I took of a Swiss marked Hunter here in the UK.
It's just a case of going back to the original and correcting for painting creep and wishful thinking in this instance! I try not to be too line conscious when painting the wing surfaces so the roundels come and go quite a bit in the process.

Getting to the end game on this one. Still a few orifices and tubes to add but coming to life now.
