View Full Version : Photo Paint-a-long - January - February 2013

Here we go with another photo paint-a-long.
you can paint or just draw , collage or frontage or scribble the image. Any medium you like
My only request is that you have FUN.
Some of these photos have a lot of content. You could crop them and do 3 different pieces evenů whatever. exaggerate one component in the composition??? Do a cubist version??? Pointilism?? etc etc
The black and white photos are from The Commons on Flickr (except the cat photo is Flickr) and the colored photographs are from deftgurl's Flickr acct (a close friend).

Robin, love your two hairy people, though I suspect it's a rear view. Wall paper sensational :)
Got a new printer/scanner. Can't get new fingers, but they are a lot better and I can do collages again.
Here are some beach doodles:

Janet - that collage is the best!!! so imaginative. The depth you've accomplished is amazing. It looks so 3 d where the pistols come up from the cup....and the texture is lovely....congrats on a grand piece of art.

 i have been working on the little boat scene for several weeks, i think i have just about overworked it....and made it pretty darn ugly:D but,,,,ill post it anyway soon, just to show you how bad i can be at colour....tyree:smug:

That's OK Tyree, I tried the boat scene and made a real mess of it. Finally tore it up. Will try it again, and just do a small portion.
Here is a quicky,,,though I wish I'd left the horse out.

Your sketches look good to me, Robin. I love those umbrellas too.
I like your water picture Tyree It's almost an abstract. Very moody. I tried to copy that picture exactly as is and it was a disaster. You make it more interesting.

03-06-2013, 04:45 PM
thanks Tyree and Janet
Tyree - I love the shimmering quality of your piece, dreamy and atmospheric - very unusual. I would consider it a solid success.
