This sketch thread is open to all Oil Pastelists. You are invited to share any sketching you've been doing this month, be it detailed ones, quick ones, ideas for paintings or value studies. Basically, just show us what you're working on! There is NO time limit, so knock yourselves out!

It would be great if you could share with us the paper and pastels you are using, as well as the size of your sketch. We do love the details!

I am actually taking PAINTING LESSONS!! Is that cool or what! 1.5 hours a week. The first painting that I did was a sheep on Strathmore mixed media paper in OIL STICKs... you have to love it. Anyway, I wanted to share with you all! I'm just going to get better from here.

Have a great evening!

Hey Linda, congratulations on your lessons and love your first piece. This is a very cool painting. Great use of warm w/cool colors and such a neat loose style. Wow, looking forward to your future work.
