I aquired a bunch of old travel posters from a travel agency...Sandy reminds me of video outlets with a surplus of posters! they are good for layering between pastels that I store in an old map cabinet. They come in large sizes and they are slick enough that they don't pick pastel up off the originals...
when I was starting I would buy newsprint pads to store work in but I use the slicker papers(next-gen)now with success, I was also turned on to medical tape by another pastellist(Joan Larson) which is PH netural,
