Hi Ruth,

Thanks so much for your message! I'm glad it was helpful. Still life painting live in pastel can really help gain focus and control even when someone doesn't usually do still life. Although I primarily do landscapes now, I turn to creating still life series' now and then to maintain, test, and grow my color and structural observation skills. Plus it's just fun to take a break and come back fresh to other subjects.

I really enjoyed this. Although I don't use pastels yet, one of many things I want to play with, a lot of the principles you showed hold try for other mediums for me it's acrylic. This was rrrreeaaalllyyy great!
