I tweaked it a tiny bit and made it more of a 'start of fall' landscape. The leaves outside were so beautiful this year, I couldn't help add a few yellow floating leaves to the one tree.

My people are much smaller than the original because I was afraid they would be incredibly difficult.

Painting after the masters is so much fun. :)

I'd still try to make the figure larger. She looks dwarfed by the foliage. The sky also appears lighter in the original, HOWEVER, this is well done and your own interpretation. If you're happy with it, leave it. It's lovely.

Thanks for the advice! You are right, they do look a bit dwarfed. :) I'm always afraid of retouching paintings I like; I have no confidence that I won't ruin them. Eventually I will overcome that feeling!

Hey Stacey, I'm not familiar with Daubignys' original, I'll have to look it up, but your sky is gorgeous! Love it! :thumbsup:
