MITSUBISHI A6M Reisen (Zero)
When American pilots had to face in heaven during the Pacific War, were unpleasantly surprised. This aircraft was ahead by speed, maneuverability and autonomy to any hunting then. Paid and the sin of not listening to the advice of Colonel Chennault, who had warned his superiors about the high quality of this extraordinary machine.
Only when put into service the Corsairs and Hellcats could match it and overcome it.
Designed by engineer Jiro Horikoshi, Japan reached about 11,000 in manufacturing various versions of which survive only two or three in different museums.

I have a nice memory of this aircraft as being modeler built two models of the Zero, flying radio control.
The watercolor measures 30 X 40 cms. Grained Arches paper.
Greetings. -
