Hello there WetCanvas community,

I'm not going to post my typical topic/advertisement for this here... It's a full feature length film inspired by manga/comic books and anime, about a fantasy world where 'magicians' use astrology to do battle.

Although the story is very mainstreamy (you have your ambitious main character in an expansive fantasy world that's larger than life, with cute spikey haired color coded characters), the point of posting this here will be for the artwork. It's done in a speed-drawn pencily style. Here are some of the drawings:

Many people that I post this to actually do not understand the point, as they aren't necessarily artists themselves. The film, to me, is like a painting that I've worked 3 years upon. When I started the film, I didn't know how to draw but I drew anyway, as I was confident if I gave my all into it I could create something enjoyable, if not just for the sake of art and entertainment.

To create the film, I drew it once through, then again, then again. I drew 1800 pictures for the first movie. To some of you seeing this work, you might say that seems easy to do, but for me just learning to draw, it took a lot of hard work and determination, and I did my best not to let other things in my life (mainly my crappy part-time jobs) get in the way of my dream, which was and still is to finish an entire series of these films (I've written 8 film screenplays, and outlined 12 films in all).

I thank you for your time, and I hope you can sit down and enjoy this film kind of like how you'd enjoy sitting down to read a book. I know that for a lot of you this wouldn't be your cup of tea (it has a very feminine/adorable quality to it).

Within the film, I've done everything from voicing every character, to creating custom sfx, to mixing, to piecing it all together/editing.

Thanks,
Mark Hans Avon

Sorry I could not sit through much of it.
The characters look similar to all the other characters in this genre
You didn't capture my interest with the story
So I guess I am struggling to see the point
Stating an inability to draw is not much of a draw card - for future reference
Best of luck
Regards
Andrew

:) Certainly is different for this forum,it reminded me of Gorillaz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2JcnCpXexM&list=SP8F37E16605FFB4F7&index=44

I think your work is a work of passion from the heart , a niche and having the patience to do it.
