OK, here is one more fro California, Little daily study, but I like this one. 8 x 10", Italian canvas covered panel primed with Colourfix. Enjoy! (I SUR did!) :)

Nice piece Tatiana - I recognize the place for (Sur)!

Good coloring w/the water and rocks, like how the cliffs are receding. Foam is scruffy and believable.

Nice study, Tatiana. I do like the water and wonder if maybe the dark brown on the right is a little too dark as it seems to come forward.

Perhaps it is slightly too dark, hard to say, Pat. But it is what it is - study. I like few things about it... a lot. And do not like few things about it.
I can only mention it was rather difficult to pull it all together on 8x10". That thing is asking about more space.

Lovely piece Tatiana. Love the blues in the sea and the foamy waves in the foreground.

For that size, you really put a lot into the composition. I'd say you nailed the water!! and the painting shows that you really enjoyed that part :)

A study doesn't have to achieve what a finished painting does...it's a way to study a subject without making final commitments....leaves room for change, and/or improvement.

You are right, Carly. Doesn't have to be finished, nor perfect, but should move You from point "0" closer to the place where You want to be. I got some ideas while working on this piece. Now with all the feedback I'm getting, I may have even more ideas. I'm thinking about doing this one in oils... sometime. Bigger too.

Tatiana

I found some old pics of when I visited this area back in 2007 and some remind me of this scene. I actually think the paintings capture the beauty of this area better than a photo. Let me know if youd like me to upload any of my pics...

It does look like the coast down there, Tatiana. But even more fun, and don't mind me saying, it looks like breadloaf cliff, perfect for the book, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs genre. Bravo to stimulate my fantasy mind!
