For the month of Novemeber our children's illustrator is ELEANOR VERE BOYLE 1825-1916

Eleanor Vere Boyle held a very high social position so hardly ever exhibited or took money for her illustrations. She seemed to illustrate a lot of books, so she must have received some sort of compensation. She did try to disguise her identity by just using her intitials on her paintings. Whatever, her paintings are lovely.

Hi, Greg. You can copy a painting from the above examples or from the google images in any medium you like. You can also branch out with your own take. You might want to do just a little corner of a painting. Practically anything goes as long as its based somewhat on the original. Post your work here for all of us to enjoy.

I came across this unfinished copy of Boyle's 'Thumbelina' which I did a while back. So I will post it. Perhaps I will get around to finishing it or maybe do a new one.;)

june....so very lovely, has such a sweetness to it......ive got one picked out to do ...but, ive been working on sandras project and its taking me forever.....tyree:wave:
