I found an odd shaped bit of wooden board that had been cut up and decided to gesso it and have a go at acrylics on it.
I wanted something bright and cheerful and with acrylics it is very quick.
The board at it's longest 28 x 20 inches with 2 big chunks missing.
What do you think ,what else could/should i do ,Thanks as ever Gary :)
P.S Photos taken outside in bright sunlight hence the white has over compensated, the exposure is somewhere between the 2 photos.

Or a little crab crawling up the weed? Great use for a piece of scrap.
I can imagine seeing this in a shop and hearing the wife saying 'That would look great in our bathroom.':) . Great idea for Xmas present! Arnie

bottom right, orange thing, really not sure what it is

love the idea of a crab

interesting shadow challenge, top left with the ring/tie thing ... where it touches, the shadow would be right there tight with it, yes?

it's really quite quaint and you could personalize it with a boats name ... 'SirFishalot' or whatever ; )

I think the orange thing is a boat fender

Yes the orange ball at the bottom right is a buoy/ball ,not sure of the technical term.Top right is supposed to be the outside edge of a life saving ring/buoy just to fill the cut away shape of the wood.
The name plate is the blue plate with the letter "A" on it ,leasav the name to your imagination..
I have done some more too it and keep coming back to it so i will post again soon. :)
