I've been doing tiny monochrome studies of this for a few days and thought I'd try a large colour version.
I've gone back to the big brush approach that Ron Ranson is a strong proponent of using a 1.5'' hake, a one inch flat, and a rigger for any detailed work.

Good strong color.
Ron ranson style does loosen one up in painting. Something I should try myself. Like the bold colours , a dramatic scene,

Good painting. I've seen Ranson's video and really need to get out my large brushes and have a go at it. Don't think mine will turn out as well as your painting. Love the colors.
Looks nice to me...I like this style...leaves something for our imagination to deal with. Nice Work

Your painting caught my eye! It is very like some of the areas near where I live.
The loose style this exhibits is something that I am trying hard to emulate, but I suspect that the art stores are going to get a great deal of money from me (for supplies) first!

Thanks everyone for your positive comments. I'm well pleased with it.
I'm onto the next and will post again soon.

This piece reminds me of traveling in Arizona and the painted hills in Oregon.
